SERBIA

OŠ “Svetislav Golubović Mitraljeta”
Belgrad, Serbia

Short description of the project:

During the school year, pupils were learning math (geometric shapes and symmetry) and English language (communication in foreign language) by examining decoration on so-called Pirot carpets. They were developing skills in new technologies in a creative way, by combining traditional drawing and painting techniques in authentic carpet designs, at the same time creating new decoration based on the same laws of symmetry and geometry. The pupils were encouraged towards:

- creative expressions through exploring their own cultural heritage

- research and making their own music

- digital skills development through recording, editing and combining different media with the help of Ipads, later on used to create new transmedia videos

The pupils took photos, composed, recorded, analyzed, selected, directed, acted, cut, pasted…To create their own story.

Teachers:

Aleksandra Danilović, Ivana Pušica

On his way, looking for information, he is contemplating about everything that he was experiencing on his trip of learning, discovering, listening, selecting, recording, teamwork, recording all over again, repeating scenes, editing etc. While flying, he is meeting his piers who tell a story about the carpet, wishing, at the same time, that their story becomes a story of future.

Stay aware!

In Vinča we were able to see figurines with different meaning. After observation, we made our own and personal versions of these figurines. We learned that 7000 years ago children used to make their own toys. Following their example, we made our own toys. At that time there were no supermarkets and they were unable to buy food. They used to produce their own bread. This is just a little part of our project. We ask you for the patience until we reveal the background of our project name at the end of a movie.

Kalastusretki (Fishing trip)

The river is an important fishing area. Grabbing the magic fishing rod, however, led them somewhere completely different.

This group chose fishing as their topic. You can't actually fish along the river, you have to do it further away from the rapids. In the movie, the boys go fishing and Steven takes the teleportation trick. They teleport to the Atlantic where they fish for a mega shark. They kill it, eat it, and the king gets some of it.

Lenkillä joen varressa (On a run by the river)

This crew started out with the idea that the river is good terrain for jogging and outdoor activities. A jogging path runs along the river, which offers an important recreation area for the people of Karkkila. However, there is a strange stump along the jogging path where students disappear. The movie is about a stump that joggers unexpectedly find in the forest. You only had to take a photo with the stump, but the stump swallowed people into a strange tunnel. Will they get out of there? It will be clear soon!

Tutkimusretki (Expedition)

Many lessons have been held along the river exploring nature. In this video, you can find an old markka (the currency of Finland from 1860 until 28 February 2002), which is the gate to an old, abandoned school that is haunted.

The idea for the movie came from the fact that the river and its surrounding terrain offer us many different research sites. At least our class has done water studies there and the signs of spring have also been studied this spring. In the movie, the friends went on a research trip to the rapids together. But something unexpected happens at the rapids. Can you find an old mark there?
